Because i've built a switchdock v1 into a gamecube and i have no problems using it with a switch v1. But when i put a v2 in there, there is no screen coming. There are 2 V1 Switch Versions available V1 patched and V1 unpatched. V1 unpatched u can softmod and v1 patched u need a modchip. But u can only run at example Android on a V1 unpatched Switch. So for me V1 unpatched is the better option. But if u don‘t need alternate booting systems and just wanna play switch games take the cheaper patched
