Extreme Lag/Frame Stuttering Oculus Quest 2. Basically every 5 or so seconds I get extreme lag and frame stuttering for a little under a second but its causing me to feel nauseous and the game to be almost unplayable. I saw a few threads from months ago that drivers were the issue but I didn’t know if they were still to blame.
I had reinstalled both SteamVR and Half Life: Alyx for an unrelated reason and continuous turn just started working on the first start up. Some of my guesses could be from the controls returning to default like from the suggestion above or it could be from OpenVR that was previously installed that had been interfering with the controls somehow. it's not a bad headset, I sold mine literally 3 days before the quest 2 was announced for almost what I paid for it simply because of the tether though. it's the most popular headset on steam for a reason. mind you, you could always sell it and get a quest 2 Accesibility settings is ingame. You can use both teleportation/free move and crouch with a button. Snap /smooth turning is ingame too. Should be able to in the menu, right thumb stick press becomes the toggle between crouch and stand. Or left thumb stick depending on handedness. You can't sell VR to the human brain if you're getting 15fps, and this isn't my inter snob talking. I've run games on everything from a DOS machine with a pentium 1, to a 3070Ti, and I own both a crappy phone VR headset, used an index and had a Oculus Dev Kit 2. (Just saying I'm old and I've tried a whole gamut of hardware.)I have played roughly 6 hours of Half-Life Alyx on my Quest with a 1070TI, 16GBs of RAM, an i5 4690k, and a third party USB C to USB 3.0 cable I ordered off Amazon. The early hours were ayes, quest 2 doing pcvr will run the game. #9. Al Chemist Jul 1, 2022 @ 11:57am. You need to buy Virtual Desktop from Oculus store (steam one is for wired) and Wifi 6 (5Ghz) router or high end motherboard with wifi 6. The Virtual Desktop has custom settings that will help u play PC games in VR with full potential. I don't know what native resolution means, the physical resolution of the quest 2 is 1832x1920 per eye but the render resolution goes up to a maximum of what you have it set to. Index apparently has a 1440x1600 res per eye. I have a 2080 and play Alyx at 80hz and x2100 on ultra settings on my quest2. That is usually what my pc can handle on Make sure Steam, SteamVR, and Half-Life: Alyx are all installed on your computer. You can get Steam here. You don't need to open SteamVR at this time. Open up the Oculus software on your PC.. If

I just got a Quest 2 and I've been enjoying Half-Life Alyx on the Oculus Link (I don't mind being wired) but the game looks blurry and after a while it becomes noticably buggy and even crashes sometimes. I'm suspecting it's an Oculus Link issue, since the game look
