Mafia III's melee came in two flavors- brutal takedowns associated with combat, which were great; and then badly scripted fights that played much worse than II. Overall, I'd say Mafia II had the best melee. Cars/Driving: Mafia I and III are tied in terms of car variety, although II isn't shabby. The trilogy still isn’t bad at all at 30fps considering all the upgrades to visuals they did, especially in Mafia 1. Played thru 1&2 DE recently now playing 3 DE, on XBSS, it's very smooth locked 30fps because of the console capabilities. It also loads very quickly and has quick resume which is great.

Hell no. The remaster is terrible. It doesn’t change the graphics that much,but it introduces hundreds of gamebraking bugs. Just keep the original. Maybe buy the DLCs separately if you want. I have 16,98€ on Steam and all the Mafia games and a lot (or all) Assassin's Creed games are on sale, but I have no clue what to get. I originally wanted to get Mafia: Definitive Edition for the nice graphics, but I've already played 2-3 hours of the original one and I don't know if it's worth getting the game and playing those hours all over again.
