Hi, everybody. I have installed Virtualbox 3.0 ('closed' source) to run a XP host inside my UbuntuStudio system. I am trying to run Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (original) to no avail: The program installs with no problems, but when I try to run it, the pointer changes to a spinning CD and then nothing happens. Dude, chill. There's no GTA San Andreas for PSP, you're probably talking about Vice City and Liberty City Stories, that's not what op wants. Install GTAV. Using steam, install the game as you normally would, but do not do the first run until later. This is sort of important as the VC redist / DX2010 which comes with the game may not install (they didn't on first run for me) so i downloaded DX 10 June 2010 x64 version off of microsoft.com, and the VC redist.

With all that said, there is apparently a patch to restore the lost songs and missing options for San Andreas, I imagine the same goes for Vice City. 99% of all the changes can be fixed by some simple folder swapping (mostly graphical stuff like adding the orange glare, original textures on a few things, etc).
